By English law customers must me over 16 years of age and must not be registered blind or partially sighted.
Your prescription must have been issued within the last 2 years from the date of order.
If requested a copy of your prescription must be provided to us.
We will rely upon the prescription provided by you and the goods provided will contain lenses matching the prescription that you submit online.
We shall not be liable for any errors made by you when entering your prescription details online.
If you are unsure of your prescription, please consult a registered medical practitioner or registered optometrist before placing the order.
A legally binding contract will exist between you and us once we have accepted your order and payment has been received.
Unless you stated otherwise we will use an average pupillary distance (PD) of 63 millimetres to complete your order. We recommend that you consult your optician to obtain your PD before ordering and provide that number to us when ordering.
Varifocal heights will be set at either 18 or 21mm above lower edge of frame, depending on the frame, no extra charges made for special small frame design. Bifocal height is set at 12mm from lower rim of frame and are either Cseg/Dseg type.
varifocals carry a money back guarantee for 2 weeks from date of delivery, subject to our normal refund policy i.e. postage and £10 admin fee.

We have displayed the goods on our web site as accurately as possible. However, due to the nature of different monitor displays, and different reproduction techniques of photography and web design, we cannot guarantee that any colour description is totally accurate.
We will refund any money you pay to us should we be unable to supply the requested goods.
We will inform you by email, within 2 working days of the order being placed, if an item ordered by you is unavailable.

 

4 Price and Payments

The price you pay will be the price stated for the chosen goods on our website at the time of you submitting your order, plus the price stated for postage and packing per item on our website at the time of submitting your order.
Payments to us must be in Pounds Sterling
All prices include VAT 17.5%
We only accept payment by credit or debit card, all types of which are identified on our site.
We must receive payment for the whole of the price of the goods you order and any applicable charges for carriage and insurance, before your order is accepted.
All payments are subjected to authorisation and validation from the card issuer. If authorisation or validation is refused by the issuer, we will not be liable for any delay or failure to deliver.

 

Goods will be delivered by Royal Mail. Title of the goods will pass to you the customer on receivership of the goods. In the unlikely event that you have not received the goods within 3 days of the date of delivery acknowledgment e-mail you must notify us immediately.
We will deliver the goods ordered by you to the address you give us on the website order form which must be in the UK. We will not deliver outside the UK.

Our normal delivery process ensures that you will receive your goods within 14 working days of us accepting you order,this is only a guide and therefore allow 28 days for delivery, subject to availability as outlined in the "Goods and Services" section of these terms and conditions.

 

You have the right to cancel an order within 7 days of the date of delivery. Such notice may be given by mail or email to customerservices@onlineopticalshop.co.uk or the address set out on the order acknowledgement form.
If this contract has been made between us without face to face contact, then you will have a 7 day period from the date when the ordered is placed in which to cancel this contract. This right does not apply at any time after the title of the goods has been passed to you the customer.
If for any reason you find your chosen spectacles unsuitable, you may return them to us subject to the following:
1 The goods must be returned undamaged, unused in their original condition and packing to qualify for a refund.
2 The refund will be limited to the basic cost of the original order. We reserve the right to charge for any optional extras selected by you. The cost of the carriage and insurance is non-refundable.

You must return the goods to us at your cost unless the good are being returned because they are faulty or incorrect goods. In which case we will meet the cost of return but we ask that you allow us to nominate the carrier.

Goods purchased from our site are subject to English Law.

If you have notified us of a problem with the goods, we will replace or repair any goods that are damaged or defective upon delivery; or refund to you the amount paid by you for the goods in question.
We will not be liable to you for any administrative inconvenience, disappointment, indirect or consequential loss or damage arising out of any problem in relation to the goods and we shall have no liability to pay any money to you by way of compensation other than any refund we make under these conditions. This does not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.
We make no legal provision for other countries and customers outside the UK take full and sole responsibility for compliance with the law in their own country.
We shall have no liability to you for any failure or delay in supply or delivery or for any damage or defect to goods supplied or delivered hereunder that is caused by any event or circumstance beyond our reasonable control (including, without limitation, strikes, lockouts and other industrial disputes.)
We will meet our responsibilities under this contract within a reasonable time unless it is impossible for us to do this because of circumstances outside our reasonable control.

We will ensure that our employees and sub-contractors shall, at all times comply with the provisions of the Data Protection Act 1998 in relation to data received from you in relation to this contract and shall only process personal data received from you where necessary to fulfil our obligations under this contract.
We require your web browser to accept the use of cookies in order to temporarily store information regarding your order and configuration details only.

When the order is placed at our website, credit card numbers are encrypted using 128 bit encryption. They are only decrypted after they reach our computer. They are not held in clear text on any web site. SSL technology is also used.
