Choosing your frames

The shape of your face is the most important factor when choosing your frames.

Oval Faces:

Easiest face to fit with spectacles - will fit most frames as long as the size is in proportion with the face. This face shape has a wide selection of frames.

Round Faces:

Select frames with straight or angular lines. A wide, shallow and angular frame gives the face a narrower look.

Square Faces:

A curved/oval frame will complement a square face. The top of the frame should sit high enough to down play the jaw line. Avoid square frames.

Rectangular Faces:

Oval and round styles again, but medium or larger sized models will be best.

Triangular Faces:

These faces have broad foreheads and narrow chins. Thin rimmed frames and semi rimless (supra) will help balance the lower half of the face. High sitting frames will accentuate the triangle so be carefull when selecting. Don't select large square shaped frames.
